Here are some helpful tips for placing your backyard bird feeder:
- Place feeders in a quiet place that’s easy for you to refill.
- Provide a natural cover for protection from larger predators and shelter from wind and rain. Evergreen trees are great for this purpose.
- Keep away from nearby branches (about 10 feet), as this provides easy access for squirrels eying your seed mix (as you’ll see in the video).
- Sprinkle seeds on the ground to make the new feeder placement more obvious to birds.
